Flower show worth it?

If our little family goes we are looking at $70 for the 3 of us. Is it worth the price of admission? Also would there be room for a stroller, I have a small one.

Re: Flower show worth it?

  • In my honest opinion, no. I go to the flower show almost every year and this year just did nothing for me. Everything you'll see there will be in full bloom here over the next few months.  People go with strollers and it gets so crowded, especially on the weekend, that I can't imagine it being an enjoyable experience. I told my mother and stepfather that I would not be joining them next year with a 7 month old.

  • It is so freaking crowded.

    I wouldn't bring a stroller.

The only times I've gone I actually had fee tickets.

  • Ugh. My mom and I had this conversation earlier in the week. We both agree that it is not worth it, especially when there is Longwood Gardens and other beautiful arboretums in our area.

Also, since it's the end of the show week, stuff is going to be well-faded/looking tired and on its way out. They should discount tickets for the last days of the show.
  • I always enjoy the flower show, but I didnt have a chance to go this year. I always go alone, I can't imagine taking a kid there (unless he was in a carrier!). It's also best to go during the week when it's less crowded!

  • I absolutely love it, but I also have a secret dream of becoming a floral designer. With a stroller on the weekend, no way. I'm going alone on Sunday.

  • Thanks all. No way ole boy would sit in a carrier. We have a Long wood membership we'll go there instead.
