I don't usually post "what do you think of these names" posts, but for those of you that asked, here are the girl names that are on our list.
1. Ainsley Brennan _____
2. Rowan Brennan _____
3. Riley (or another spelling) Brennan _____
And for the life of me right now, I know there were two more names and I can't remember them!
But, we are really leaning toward the name Ainsley Brennan ____. We heard the name Ainsley while we were on our honeymoon in Ireland and we both LOVED it. Brennan was my grandmother's maiden name.
Re: Possible names
Long A sound (like Aim or "ain't")
Scheduled IVF for April 2013--SURPRISE, don't need it! EDD 9/6/13
Ainsley's pretty.
Finley is is also catching on as a girls name. It has irish origins and has been used as a boy's name for quite some time.
I like Ainsley ok - my cousin named her daughter Ainsley and it was the first time I'd heard it. It felt a little strange at first, but then became natural. I think it's cool.
I like the other 2 names too - have fun figuring it out!
Actually, I think all three on your short list sound great, but if you love Ainsley, go for it.
Brennan's a really cool middle name too. I love the idea of doing family names as middle names.
I finally remembered those 2 names that I couldn't think of this morning.... I don't know whether to call it preg. brain or just plain senility (I AM almost 39! haha) Anyway they were
Ryanne (Ry-Anne) or just plain Ryan (yes for a girl)
or
Ruari (celtic spelling for Rory)
Both of which I really like, but DH was like "ummm, they're ok I guess"
As a graduate of Rowan University, I'm rooting for Rowan Love the middle name, too!
Definitely no redheads in this genetic pool! And if by some chance she comes out with red hair.... well then DH is going to have A LOT of questions for me!!!
And Chris, if you are still working on your portfolio in April, then maybe we could get a chance to get together and you can add another newborn girl to your collection. I absolutely love love love all your pics. You have a natural talent for photography (not that you haven't studied and practiced, but you know what I mean!)
Aww, thank you! I love Rowan anyway. Red hair can be funny- there is definitely red hair in our family somewhere, but, it pops so rarely! I have a niece with FIRE red hair, but, she's only the second red head in our family line right now. Who knows.
Even if I'm not working on my portfolio in April, we can work something out. I'm taking Ari's pictures tomorrow, and I am SOOOO freaking excited about it! Newborns are just the sweetest little heart breakers!
