Any ideas on how to host a tree planting ceremony?
Our neighbors gave my hubby and I a tree when my Dad passed away. (Perfect, my dad loved the outdoors). One of the neighbors suggested having a tree planting ceremony. I think that is a wonderful idea. But I am clueless on how to host a tree planting ceremony.. Hellllp. I need some ideas of what to do.
Re: Any ideas on how to host a tree planting ceremony?
I think first you decide if you want to include food/reception as part of it, or just keep it to the planting part.
You could provide slips of paper to have everyone write a memory on, and plant it with the tree. I would plan to have the hole dug before people get there, so alternately you could determine some way to distribute a bit of soil to each participant, to toss into the hole. Or, after filling it in, have people sprinkle wildflower seeds at the base.
Then choose music, poems, or religious verses that feel meaningful, and include those. I would keep it short but full of some meaning for you.
