Airline (United) Baggage Question
I haven't flown United Airlines in a very long time but for an upcoming trip at the end of this month, I don't have a choice. Help me understand their policy on baggage. I generally avoid checking bags because when I travel alone, it just always seems like a hassle (read: I'm impatient and just want to get off the plane and go). But in the universe where I check a bag, do I pay $25 up 50lbs regardless?

Re: Airline (United) Baggage Question
Looks like it, unless you are traveling with one of the 70 lb weight limit categories. Remember, this charge is for both ends of your flight ~ departure in Maryland and return to Maryland, so you'll be paying $50 total.
Baggage fees have become the newest moneymaker!
Thanks! This is what I was thinking but the wording (probably on purpose) is not easy to get through. I should be able to get away with my small rolling suitcase and then my carry on as I've learned it's no longer a necessity to pack 10 outfits for a 5 day trip! Plus, I'm staying with my brother and SIL so I don't have to pack little things like a blow dryer and a towel which helps.
