This was my dream dress: one-of-a-kind, sophisticated, comfortable, and truly a 'show-stopper'. My wedding is in Italy and I desperately wanted the European look, so I was thrilled when I found this chic Parisian dress at Cymbeline (rated best French wedding designer in 2013!). Unfortunately, I fell in love (again) with another dress a few wks later, and decided to go with a more simple, understated look that complements the theme of my wedding.
I purchased the actual sample only a month ago (from the Spring 2011 Hanae Mori Collection). No alterations have been made and it is in pristine condition. If the shoe 'fits' (ie. you are a sample size of 8 or below), this dress is a STEAL, because it retails for approx $7-10k and I'm selling the dress for $2500 (70% savings from original price!).
The top portion of the dress is classic elegance (illusion lace sleeves and neckline) and the bottom has a unique 'fashion flair' since it is assymetrical (the best of both worlds). The ruffled layers of organza have lace intertwined throughout the entire dress. There is a short train on the dress, which bustles up for dancing. The seamstress at Cymbeline can help you make this dress "convertible" and give you the option of tearing away the bottom portion for a shorter skirt at reception.
