Crime

What is up with Tucson's homicide rate? Has there always been this much and they just didn't report it as often or is Tucson just getting bad??

Re: Crime

  • I think this year is worse than last year because they just broke last year's number a couple weeks ago. But I don't think it's gotten exponentially worse...just more visible/reported/noticed.  Granted, I've only lived here 2 years though ;)

  • Well think about where we're located and what Tucson's notoriously known for (drug trafficking).

The majority of homocides in Tucson are gang/drug related.

  • I think it has something to do with the sewer smell on the west side (j/k) bc of all the other crazy homicides besides those that are drug/gang related. . . like the one this week by the transients, also that guy that shot that officer awhile ago, and not in Tucson but close enough those kids that killed their parents
  • Tucson is supposedly the city with the highest death rate for pedestrians. And no wonder, our city lights are so low at night, and people just walk out in the streets all the time.
