My sister is going to give me the snap and go stroller frame that fit her Chicco car seat. I?ve found a Chicco car seat I like so I?m pretty sure I?m not at all interested in getting a travel system unless someone makes a great argument for why one would be needed.
As far as my stroller usage will go, I live very close to Kelly Drive and Forbidden Drive so I plan to take lots of walks. I also live close to a SEPTA train line and will likely be heading into the city a couple of times a week. We?ll be selling my car at the end of the summer and my husband?s SUV will become my vehicle so I?m not worried about not being able to fit the strollers into the car but I'd prefer to not have to anything too big.
What do you think would be the best type of strollers for me to get?
Disclaimer: I?d like to apologize for asking questions that I?m sure have been answered 101 times. I swear that over the years I?ve been marking kid and baby posts I knew I?d want to look back to with the nests lovely ?watch this thread? button. But of course, the nest in all its glory, has removed all of those watched posts in one of its many ?upgrades? to the site.
Re: Talk to me about strollers.
We really like the Baby Jogger City Mini. I like that it has big, sturdy wheels which are great for all sorts of surfaces. It is a three-wheeled stroller and has excellent steering, especially with one hand. I like that it folds up wi

Listen to her Brooks is 6 months older than m and I ask her what to buy in the stroller dept.
with that being said she and I ended up withy that same stroller. The Quinny buzz, I had the 4, loved loved loved it, except that it was a pain to fold
go to BBB in cherry hill and talk to Nikki the stroller pixie. she knows everything.
I love our bumbleride indie. i loved it for city walks, uneven pavement, it was a smooooth ride. I didn't love its weight - a bit heavier than some. it loo

Rum. I think Nikki is gone!!!!
I do agree push stuff around! I'm really digging the micralite lately wish it had a double option. Has crazy wheel but only weighs 15 pounds!
I second the City Mini (if you are willing to pay more, there are some other good options, but they were out of my price range so I didnt even look at them). The City Mini is super easy to fold and is fairly lightweight. It has a large sun canopy and c
My sister and her family are coming to stay with me in early April and her youngest is just over a year old. I'm going to steal him one day while they're here and take him to NJ to test out strollers! Such a fabulous idea.
Keep the recommendatio
Ditto going to BBB and trying them out. Normans in South Philly also has them. I had good customer service at both stores. Normans actually suggested the Chicco Keyfit infant seat to us and so far, no complaints. Though DH and I fell in love with the C

I think the guy at BBB we talked to was Brian.
And yes, I need to change my ticker but the nest is not cooperating.
We also have the City Mini and like it. Super super easy to open with one hand, and I don't find the weight to be unreasonable.
The basket space is definitely the biggest downfall for me, but I got one of those Mommy Hooks that I use on occasion
We have/had similar stroller usage as you...we used to live in grad. hospital, had a small suv, used SEPTA, walked a lot. We went to BBB and tried out a lot of strollers. Ended up with the bugaboo chameleon & we've been really happy with it. Nice a
Big thumbs up for the City Mini GT. I just returned from Mexico and brought that beast with me...worth its weight in gold. Easy to push, reclines nearly flat, folds with one tug, smooth ride with the foam tires. My only complaints are
I lived in the city with two kids and only ever needed one stroller. Never had a snap and go and never missed it. Technically I did buy 2 strollers but only when Sam came along and we needed a double. It is doable

I have a city mini and I'm not loving it. I like the newer city mini GT or whatever it's called. The basket size on the city mini sucks. It's horrible.
If we have a 2nd I will likely sell my mini and try to find a used city select. </
If you go with a City Mini or similar and need a console to add on, this one is great and cheap:

We had the city mini-some people don't love the car seat adapter-they feel it isn't secure. We didn't have a problem with it-I sort of bounced the stroller around and side to side (without baby in it, I swear) and were comfortable with the adapter.
The guy at BBB is now Bobby, I think his name is. He actually calls himself Stroller Boy and he talks VERY fast. But he's rather entertaining for the most part.
Anywho..we got the City Select. But thats all I can say since I obviously haven't use

I love my city select like a fat kid loves cake. Hand to Jesus, everywhere I go people gush over it, sometimes even moreso than my kids.
I also got a Maclaren quest on clearance for very occasional use. With just one, it was much, muc
