Ladies,

Just now starting the name change process...since I finally decided how I want my name presented. LOL!

Have any of you mailed your supporting documents along w/ the Social Security form SS-5 in lieu of going to your local office in person?

I found an 'alternative' local office that I think I will try for the in-person experience. It's a little further away that my recommended office, but looks like it might be run a little smoother, and actually had positive Google r

  • I'd do it in person too. I was trying to decide between mailing or in person and just drove there. It took about an hour of waiting, but about 2 minutes once I actually made it to the counter.
