So originally H and I along with BIL and SIL were going to spread MIL's ashes at her favorite spot in Galveston. The plan was to do this in April and BIL and SIL still have not given us a date. Well now I'm KU'd and H and I are trying to save money everywhere we can plus he hasn't worked in over a month. So now H and I are thinking something local.
I had the idea of maybe attaching a couple of balloons to the bag her ashes are in and the 4 of us taking our boat out and releasing them that way. That's my only idea and I was hoping you ladies could come up with others. We don't want to just dump them in the water but we want to have some kind of little ceremony for her.
Any ideas would be great!

I guess my first semi-horrified thought about your suggestion is the ashes landing somewhere, like in someone's front yard, and then someone discovers the ashes, which could be kind of weird.
