Advice on curtains/window situation

Hello! I'm dropping in as a newbie over here. I need advice on a wall in my living room. I'm lookingg to add some color to my room as the room is quite vast (18ft ceilings), and we aren't wanting to paint it. I have a wall of 3 windows each about 3.5ft wide, but there is a foot between each. I don't need curtains for function bc I have roman shades. I need four curtain panels to go on each side of the windows. Will it look weird to put a curtain rod across the whole wall? It's set up so that it's 15" of wall, window, 12" of wall, window, 12", another window, and 15" of wall to the end. I'm thinking a print fabric would be too busy too. Any experts or savvy people want too weigh in?

Re: Advice on curtains/window situation

  • If you're definitely going to put curtains up, I would do one rod per window.  Having it stretch all the way across like that would take away from the windows, since there is so much space between each one.

  • I actually would do one long drapery rod to connect and unify the windows. 12 inches between each window is not very much. By the time you hang a rod above each window, the ends of the rods will be inches apart from one another and you'd have your drap

  • I'm on the iPad and can't upload a pic rt now, but thank you both! I think I need to check out HD for a rod(s)!
