Maronda Homes

Interested in feedback, both positive and negative, on Maronda Homes. Esp interested in feedback from owners who bought their homes less than three years ago as I understand that they revamped around that time.  I think we are interested in the Bedford model. Thank you!

Re: Maronda Homes

  • I have a friend that bought built a Maronda home. It was more like 6yrs ago. They liked it because of the what you get space wise/customness vs. buying existing- especially older for the money.

They would be the first to tell you though

  • I would avoid them. The several homes in different we have seen have all had pretty poor craftsmanship (cheap materials, baseboards not connected at corners, crooked outlets/switches).  You get a cheaply made big house.  And they've filed for ba

  • Thank you for the feedback, ladies. We may also consider a private builder, I'm just not sure if that's in our budget though.
  • We have been in our Maronda Home for 2 years. We were surprised to see how many upgrades we could make - our home looks nicer th
  • Thank you for the info.  I think ee would like to build in the Apple Hill community.  I think we want to build a bedford model.  Where and what did you build?
  • Did you decide to build your Bedford?  We decided to build the same model in the whispering Pines Community.  We are scheduled to close in a week.  Wondering what your thoughts are if you did build?

  • There are not any lots available in Apple Hill right now. The new phase is set to open soon and we are third on the list to look at the lots. How is your new home? And Congrats!!!!

  • I would highly suggest buying anything other than a Maronda home! I thankfully just sold mine and had more problems than you can imagine. It took me thousands of my own money to correct THEIR mistakes. The salesman D. Adams at apple hill will tell you anything to buy. run the other way....
  • i lived in a new build Maronda for 7 years and did not have any problems.  You get a lot of house for your money, but the quality is not amazing.  We rent the house now as an investment and it's still in good shape.... the carpets need replaced and there are some settling cracks in the walls but I guess everyone's experience is different, but I would do it again.   I lived in Carnegie Highlands.
