Favorite healthy breakfast?

What is your favorite healthy breakfast?

I like plain greek yogurt and fresh berries with a small drizzle of honey.

Re: Favorite healthy breakfast?

  • At work, I usually go for a piece of fruit like a banana, an apple, or a couple of clementines.  My favorite at home is a bowl of apple/cinnamon oatmeal.

  • Tea and whole wheat toast. Not sure that's really a healthy breakfast but it's my favorite. Second would be breakfast burrito which I make in batches of 12 and freeze for a quick grab and run breakfast.
  • Egg mug - an egg, some egg whites, chopped peppers and green onions mixed together in a mug.  Microwave for 30-45 seconds (depending on power of your microwave).  Can add some cheese or meat (e.g. turkey bacon, ham) to get more protein.

  • I second the homemade apple cinnamon oatmeal. Or granola with yogurt. Or a fruit smoothie.Yum!

  • I love to eat oatmeal with blueberries in my breakfast as I read somewhere that oats have all the amino acids necessary for mammalian nutrition. Sometimes, I do like to have yogurt with nuts as an alternative.
  • I make an egg sandwich. I use 100% whole wheat bread, egg beaters, vegan cheese and turkey bacon. I usually have a cup of almond milk as well.
  • I love quinoa and make a hot cereal I found on pinterest:

    Ingredients:
    1 cup water
    3 tablespoons quinoa
    3 tablespoons quick

  • Eggs are a great healthy breakfast and they fill you up because they are protein. <span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, clean, sans-serif;line-height:16px;

  • Fggs are a great healthy breakfast and they fill you up because they are protein. <span style="font-family:arial, helvetica, clean, sans-serif;line-height:16px;

  • Since I'm always running late and I'm never really that hungry in the morning, I have myself a smoothie. It's cool, it's tasty, and most important portable!
