Paris-Nice-Florence

We currently live in Germany, but thought I would share our itinerary with you to get ideas.

We are leaving in early April and traveling by train.  Traveling with two kids ages 3 and 13.

Day 1-4: Paris.  We will arrive in Paris mid-day on day one, have two full days and then leave mid day on day 4 for Nice.

Day 5-9: French Riviera. We will have arrived to Nice on day 4, so we plan on a day in Monaco, a day in Ventimiglia ( is this even worth it) and two days in Nice.  We will leave for florence on day 9

Day 10-13: Florence/Tuscany.  I could add a day, but would to get home earlier.  Would one day in Pisa (I realize this is a half day trip for the most part, but we will be based in Florence and travel by train...with a toddler) One day in Siena and one day in Florence be enough or do we NEED 2 days in Florence.  We will travel home on day 13.

Re: Paris-Nice-Florence

  • I would suggest 2 days in Florence.  You can see Pisa in a half-day.  There's tons to see and do in Florence.  Sounds like a great trip!

  • i would give pisa a whole day-there's so much more than just the tower and it's a great town. i would also give siena an entire day. i would also give florence all of the days. in other words-it's entirely up to you. if you're just going to go to pis
Friday, December 28 2012. The day I had emergency appendix surgery in Mexico and quit smoking. Proof that everything has a good side!! DH and I are happily child-free!! No due date or toddler tickers here!! my read shelf:
Alison's book recommendations, favorite quotes, book clubs, book trivia, book lists (read shelf)
  • We have drive instead of do the train, it was going to save us ime on some legs but waste lots on others.

so, we will leave Paris early on day 4 and sop a few times along the way....it is goingto be an all day trip, but fun nonetheless.

  • If you had an extra half day, I would say you could do Florence in a day and a half. I mean, you ar egoing to miss things that include huge lines (like: the David), but oyu can def. get to the duomo, walk over hte Ponte Vecchio. Have lunch someplace ou
