My husband and I are going to Athens next March. We honestly think this will be fine since we have kept up to date on the protests and look at the embassy's website to make sure travel in the area is safe. However, if anyone has been to the area recently, I would like to know your opinions. If you have been to Greece recently, please comment on how "safe" you thought the country was. Any places to avoid? Our back up in Venice, but we would really like to go to Athens and hope to book the vacay in the next month. Thanks for any info!!!
