I have an old metal dark grey filing cabinet. How can I make it less utilitarian? I like a mix of colonial/old fashion with a bit of modern comforts. I have included a picture of the cabinet. I will be eventually getting a wooden desk for my office instead of a snack tray.

I'm not really sure what you mean by colonial/old fashioned, but I did a google search and it came back with some great ideas on how to change the look. Hope this helps!
