need advice

dealing with a dear friend who is about 10 weeks pregnant and i dont know if its JUST hormones or if shes really milking the fact that she read "hormones are big right now" and is over playing it all, but she makes a huge deal out of non important stuff... such as a few weeks ago a few of our friends were all going out to karoke and knowing she was sick ALL week, also her mentioning that day how sick she felt, i didnt extend the invite, later that evening she messages me asking why she wasnt invited, nor was her husband, and i explained she said she was sick, she missed work all week...and was still sick, why would we bother inviting if your sick? and as for your husband, we arent inviting your husband if your home sick, thats not fair in our eyes.. thats one small example she blew out of poportion saying we didnt like her and such.... NEXT example, a few days before she found out she was pregnant she made the choice to adopt a shelter dog... and now everything seems to much, and she wants to give up the dog because there is just "no way" she feels she can handle a baby and 2 dogs... and she refuses to fence her backyard and have a outside dog because itll be neglected.. so she blames us saying we dont invite her over for her dog to play with ours... like im sorry your 10 weeks pregnant you arent cripple, take your new dog for a walk maybe? dont use our dogs as an escape cause your too lazy...

All i want is my NORMAL friend back... and i just dont really know what to do, im sure hormones are part of it, and i dont know what shes going through...but its just getting a tad bit ridiculous

Re: need advice

  • so she's not normally like this right ?

If the only difference between now and then is the pregnancy, then I guess I would see it as hormones .  Take what she says with a grain of salt.  Don't apologize and  I would ignore her

  • Geezos,  that's just great.

I side eye her immensely for un-adopting the dog.

THAT is what I think her biggest problem is.

    Rethink her.

Either she is an airhead and does not think things through, or she is somebody who doe

  • im pretty sure you just could of avoided this by saying "It is just her hormones" maybe you should spend more time actually reading what people are asking for advice rather then commenting on the grammar mistakes they make? Just a thought.

  • Honestly, I am not a Grammar Nazi, but having tons of errors in a post makes it much harder to read and, well, understand the situation. Tarpon did also comment on the content of your post.

    I have never been pregnant so I don't think I am in a p

  • I am simply saying i have read alot of the "advice" you give to people asking for simple help and you more so degrade THEM for what they are simply venting about, rather then actually offering grade A advice, which is what they need. Sure everyone need

  • Pregnancy is hard.  She is in the stage where she is dealing with extreme fatigue and morning sickness.  I didn't have a lot of problems with being overly emotional, but some people do during pregnancy.

  • I am not sure that we, as a message board, really know what is going on with your friend. If you are concerned about her than why don't you ASK her yourself?

I just wanted to also remind you that you posted on

  • So I think you were saying she just voiced feelings about wanting to give the dog up not actually doing it? It sounds like she is feeling really overwhelmed right now and I think it probably is hormones.  She may be being over dramatic, but seriously

  • Yeah it got really bad since the time i made the post.... She randomly came into my work last week and shouted "our friendship is failing because of you!" and stormed out... i told my husband who is great friends with her husband and even he agreed that s
  • It is nice that you wrote her that letter, and that she understood it properly. Give her some time. Her hormones will not control her mood forever. It is great that she has you for a friend - such a loving, considerate and tolerant person. Hopefully, she
