Hello Boston Nesties!
So I've been married for nearly three years and just recently attempted to become a MA resident. the RMV flagged me in my license process because my first name is hyphenated (Melissa-Anne). as it turns out I accidentally hyphenated my name in 2010 on my marriage certificate ( it should be Melissa Anne). now I have to begin the process of eliminating my hyphen because as much as it doesn't bother me ( people have been adding in the hyphen for years)I was told that this could cause issues in the future.
The beginning fee for this is $165.00 which i'm not pleased about, but it was my fault so i'm ok with the fee.
has anyone else gone through anything similar? I think i'm anti hyphen now. also, had I known I could have changed my name to whatever the heck I wanted I would have turned my name into something funny like Melissa Mcdonalds instead.
