Soft Paws

Has anyone used them and can offer me some advice on how to apply them and get them to stay on?  I got a call this morning from a lady who adopted one of my foster cats.   Said she loves her but she has started clawing at her persian rug. If she doesn't stop then she thinks she will have to return her.  I suggested replacing the rug with one that she does not care if it gets scratched up but she didn't seam thrilled with the idea.  The lady is 85 years old and I really want to say does it really matter at your age??  Can't take the rug to heaven with you!

Re: Soft Paws

  • I know some ladies who have had great luck with them, but at 85 years old, will this woman be able to keep up with nail clippings and application? If not, cat she take the cat to a groomer regularly to have her claws clipped and the soft paws applied?<

  • I'm an avid Soft Paws fan.  I order them from ebay (they come from China) to save money, but they are at pet supply stores.  As PP mentioned, at 85, I'm guessing someone else will have to put them on for her - a groomer or vet - I think both

  • you've gotten great advice here, and I would just echo the fact that soft paws does not make the cat not scratch/stretch on things. The lady definitely should have an appropriate place for the cat to scratch/stretch so the cat can be redirected from th
