From the blog that brought you pumpkin lattes yesterday - this looks easy enough for me to actually DO!

Re: Holiday Baking

  • That looks good.  I need to post my eggnog cookie recipe, I'll try to remember as tonight is Mr. Feef's night to cook.  You got it, it's Taco Night
  • Confession:  I just started a cooking blog myself to keep track of all my craziness in the kitchen, I will link it in my siggy eventually.

Kristin, I'm guess you can imagine WHO helped me come up with the name.

  • LOL!  That's great!  I'll have to keep an eye on it - I love that we're both little cooky-mc-cookertons lately!

And BTW we talk about the price of meat all the time in my group of IRL friends.  We are total dorks.  Wink

  • I will be bookmarking your blog as soon as I get home! I love reading your recipes!!! YAY!!!
  • There is a fantastic recipe in Cooking Light that I just saw, I was thinking about making a few for gifts.... Vanilla Buttermilk Pound Cakes. I have a little mini loaf pan, so it works out well for me.

  • oh thanks, I have to post the pumpkin choc chip muffins I did last night.

I'm out of pumpkin right now, so I'll probably be moving on to another ingredient.

I need to post the mexican lasagna I did for Mr. Feef.

  • on the vanilla pound cake, I did something similar recently and I swirled some raspberry jam in the middle.  It was a BIG hit.
  • Sounds delicious! I wsa thinking about giving it with a nice jar of Stonewall Kitchen jam or something as part of a basket. I like it because it sounds so versatile, like you can just eat it plain, or put something on it.
  • Totally stealing that recipe - and it is lo-so, so I might even make some for myself!!  Thanks for sharing!  And I love the idea of putting it with some jam and making it a gift.  I *heart* you ladies!
  • I'm considering making eggnog fudge as part of my holiday gifts. ?My friend made a face at me, but I think it sounds good

I bet if you just said "fudge," she would have been fine with it. :)
  • and I'm so glad that it's lo-so!! Hopefully it's a nice treat for you, Kristin! :)
  • There is a Stonewall Outlet in Rochester now, and I am going to be hitting it up for lots of goody bags this holiday season. I have bought several things from there, and it still tastes great. A lot of it is weird mishaps or things they did on purpose for example, jams could have more fruit then it should, or marinades could have pepper instead of dill because they ran out. And its super cheap! Just a thought...
