How do you bk hotel with 3 kids?

So do you need a suite if you book with a 15 yr old, a 9 yr old and 1.5 yr old?  We're headed out but a double room doesn't seem to do it for us. Maybe I'll take the paknplay. Suites are just so expensive. How do big fams travel?

I've actually had good luck getting suites through priceline or hotwire.  In ATL, I got a suite at a Hyatt Place for about $55 a night.

My friends that travel with kids also use vrbo a lot.

We rent apartments.  In the end, having that kitchen facility to cook/store meals ends up saving us money.

For many years, when there were just three of us kids, we would have parents in one bed, two kids in another, and the youngest kid in a play pen or on a cot. When we adopted another two kids, we started getting adjoining rooms or suites with kitchens.

--regular double room + p'n'p if the big kids will share a bed (Honestly, this is what I would do.  We camp a lot so my
