This make-up amateur needs some help
I'm in a wedding next weekend and have to do my own make-up. I usually only wear eyeliner and mascara so I'm going to need to buy a few things I guess.
I don't want to spend a ton of money. Before going shopping for it, I'd like to know ahead of time what I am looking for so I don't feel pressured from the sales people.
Any advice is appreciated!

Do you intend to use the products your purchase outside of the wedding?
If not, I would call local make-up counters and ask about a makeover option, assuming you have time the day of the wedding to fit it in. They may have a purchase requirement

seriously. there are an army of girls just ready to pounce on me and do my makeup every time I go in there. I know of several people who have gone there before events to get their makeup done.

And to answer your question, when I do "event" makeup, such as going out for the evening or a wedding, I use primer, foundation, touch of bronzer or blush, eye shadow, liner, mascara, and some sort of lip color. I always thought primer was a stupid ext
The wedding is in Lancaster and we are going up the night before so I don't think I'll be able to get my done over the counter.
I do intend to use this stuff after the wedding, if I can apply it correctly, lol.
I would think you need foundation, cover up (blemishes/under eyes), blush (I really like cream or stick blushes), eye shadow get something neutral - like a gold beige, eye liner, mascara and either lipstick/lip stain/gloss. They will probaly try
