IUD and cramp

I had paraguard put in on Tuesday and I'm still having cramps, and it's Sunday. Is that normal?  

I have tried every form of BC and this was my last option. I was not excited about having it put in but I'm not ready for a family yet, plus I can't remember to take the pill and my husband doesn't like condoms.  

I was on my cycle when the IUD was put it so I was already cramping a little. Since I had it put put in I have been on a heating pad, taking midol and Tylenol daily.

Saturday  I was feeling better so we had sex, I'm thinking it was a mistake because the cramps have came back.  

How log should you wait to have sex after getting an IUD put in? Also how long should the cramps last?

  • I had the pargard put in 5yrs ago. I had cramps off and on for about a week after having it put in. Also, we had sex the day after it was put in and no problems. Every body is different and it just takes time for your body to adjust. If your overly concer
