Honest Cleaning Products

Hi, ladies! I've never posted on this board before, but I'm hoping that you can help me. I'm thinking about making the switch to greener cleaning products, but I'm concerned about how they will perform in comparison to the products that I use now (Lysol, Clorox, Scrubbing Bubbles, Fantastic, Windex, Pledge, etc.). I've been searching for reviews on the Honest Co. cleaners as well as Seventh Generation. I like that they are non-toxic, but the descriptions always say that they wipe away "dirt and grime" without any mention of bacteria or viruses so I'm not sure how well they really clean. Do you have any reviews or recommendations that you would be willing to share? Also, the greener brands seem to be much more expensive than the regular household cleaners. Are there cheaper places to buy them or do you know of any coupons? Thanks!

I've used 7th generation...I don't think the product is bad, but I do prefer Method. I think Method is cheaper as well, but I can't say for sure.

Green cleaning products are safe to use and do not harm people iving around it or the environment on the whole. But yes, they are quite expensive. But you can do one thiing- you can use some prooducts that are available at home such as bleaching powder, l

Just google how to clean with vinegar and baking soda. Vinegar is a disinfectant.

I use vinegar and baking soda to clean most of my house especially the kitchen and bathrooms. I also love wiping my counters down with parsley all purpose cleaner.

Ditto the vinegar and baking soda.  I mix half water and half vinegar in a spray bottle with a few drops of tea tree & lavender essential oil to use as an all-purpose cleaner, and it works just as well as any store bought cleaner.  Baking soda is great as a soft scrub (I often use it to get gunk off my stove).  A few drops of liquid castile soap & some baking soda work great for the toilet.
