Is it appropriate to give someone a groupon as a gift? Let me explain....
My friend is getting married and her future in laws wanted to throw her a couples shower. She and her FI have been living together for quite awhile now, and my friend said they don't really need a whole lot for the house, so they decided to have a "stock the bar" shower. More specifically it's a "stock the bourbon bar" because they both really love bourbon.
Well, there is a groupon for a tour of a bourbon distillery in our area, and I think it would be a perfect gift for them for this couples shower, but I just don't know if it is poor taste to give a groupon as a gift.
Thoughts?
Re: Groupon as a gift?
What are the terms of this specific Groupon? Do they have to pay anything? If they don't have to pay anything, I don't see why not. I think they would enjoy it!

I would look extra close at when the groupon expires - if it expires before their wedding they may not even have the opportunity to use it because chances are they will be busy right up until their wedding and maybe a few weeks after.
