Grocery Budget

Do you have a grocery budget? Is it monthly, weekly, etc? We decided to track our recent spending and as I expected, our grocery bill is outrageous and we are only cooking dinner 4-5 times per week. Honestly, I'd like to cut that spending in half but that seems like it will be very hard.

  • We try to aim for around $125 a week.

  • I try not to spend over $100 a week. I also stick to the list and use coupons whenever I can.

  • Right now, we're budgeting $1000 a month (but I shoot for closer to $800) for groceries, toiletries and paper goods.  That covers all breakfasts and lunches (I pack Brad's) and six dinners a week.  We also buy local/organic whenever we can, whic

  • Our goal is $100/week.

This includes seven lunches and six dinners for the two of us.  It would be significantly less if we didn't try to buy organic/free-range products.

  • It looks like we spent under $400 last month so that's not that bad. We don't have kids though - that's just for the 2 of us.

  • For just 2 of us, I feel like we spend way more than what we should.  Probably $100 a week on full trips but then we have $35-$40 here and there on top of it to pick up last minute ingredients or fresh stuff or something totally not planned.&nbs

  • I budget for 500-600 a month for groceries/paper products.  I'm sure I could cut that down if I really tried, but I have no desire to coupon or shop at multiple stores for the best deals.
  • I try to keep it between $100-$125 per week for our BJs and Wegmans trips. Sometimes it's less but when I buy a lot of meat, it's more.

  • For the 2 of us, I stay below $100 a week. I don't always go every week. I went yesterday and spent $80 and that should last us at least a week and a half. I always use coupons and buy what's on sale.

  • We try to spend about $60 - $70, but last week it was $95 for 2 adults and a toddler. We buy mostly organic/hormone free produce and dairy and rarely purchase meat (maybe 1-2 times a month). This only include food and doesn't include shampoo, deodorant

  • Well, I try to keep it around $125 per week for 4 of us. And OMG, my boys eat a lot. I am truly afraid for when they are teenagers.

Having said that, we actually spend closer to $200 per week. There are several reasons for this. One, DH is a huge
