Getting things ready/done...

Moms-

What did you wish you had done before you had your baby? I'm trying to get on top of organizing things around the house, but never seem to be on top of it. I'm starting to feel overwhelmed. Even though I am home and can get things done, it takes a lot of energy that I don't have. What were your 'must have done' things before you went into labor? What do you regret not having done?

Mom to be-

What is on your list? Aside from the normal stuff like bags packed, nursery... Etc.

  • Besides getting all the baby stuff set up and getting the bags packed, I'd like to clean out the closets to make more space.  I'd also like to make a couple of freezer meals to have on hand and have the house clean - not a deep clean, but clean. &

  • I wish I had paid someone to come in and really do a deep clean on our house, baseboards, walls, etc.  It's too hard to do that stuff with a baby. I also would have liked to repaint some of the rooms in our house

  • I'm glad I got all their clothes washed up to 6 month sizes. it's nice to not have to worry about that on top of their regular day to day laundry. I didn't get the chance to get all their bedding and blankets washed before they came, and wish that could h

  • I wish I had given our closets and cabinets a good clean out. I feel like we have a lot of junk thrown into boxes and bags in storage and I just want more space to breathe. haha

I wish we'd gone out on more little dates for dinner or a movie.&nbs

  • We had nothing washed or even tags cut off when I went into labor 3 weeks early! I didn't have my hospital bag packed and we hadn't installed the car seat - all things we wished we had done before! I think knowing how to install the car seat and having it

  • I'm having this baby sometime between now and April 20th and these are some big things that are done:

    1.Hospital bags are packed

    2. Car seat base is installed

    3. All newborn clothes are washed and tags are removed

    4. All sheets

  • The bills thing is definitely a good tip. I handle all the bills and I had it all set up ( checks written, envelopes stamped, online payments set up) ahead of time and I am glad I did because I know I wouldn't have been able to keep track.

  • I agree with what everyone else had already said.

I wish we hadn't moved into a new house when I was 30 weeks along LOL.  Nursery still isn't done and the babies are seven months old now.  I am an interior designer, so that

  • I scrubbed the house. We cleaned a lot of things that we usually overlook, like the baseboards and behind the fridge. It made me feel good to know that the house would be spic and span bc I knew it would be a long time until we had time for that kind of c
