If your dog is on meds for arthritis...
I have a few questions for you.
What kind of dog & how many pounds?
What kind of med & what's the dosage?
Our 11 year old lab is 65 lbs and the vet prescribed 100 mg tramadol & 200 mg gabapentin 2 times per day for her arthritis. I had never heard of gabapentin before and asked the vet if it was necessary on top of the tramadol and she said yes. Made me wonder what others had their dogs on for arthritis pain. (Although, of course I know every case is different.)

How bad is your dog? how rapidly has this progressed.
That is an interesting combination for arthritis. I typically use an NSAID : Rimadyl, Metacam, Deramaxx etc... and if they are really bad add in tramadol.
