Hotels in Boston

Wondering if anyone has any suggestions?? We are planning a trip to Boston in May, after searching on the internet I have realized that we cannot afford to stay directly in the heart of Boston ($300-$600 a night) Were looking to stay 2 nights. Anyway if anyone has any suggestions on hotels or cities right outside of Boston Id greatly appreciate it! TIA!!

  • When we went April 2011 we stayed at the University Hotel-Brigton Best Western hotel, I can't get link I work from phone. It's on 1650 Commonwealth Ave. and included breakfast and parking and was across street from T train

  • DH and I stayed at the Best Western outside Boston College.. I do not recommend it. we both swore it was haunted... try hotels in cambridge.. they are in "charlie" distance to the city.

I would suggest Cambridge.  Did you try the South Shore?  We ended up getting a great deal at the Westin Boston Waterfront...I also had friends stay at the Seaport hotel and they got a wonderful deal (it was booked when we went).  Both h

  • Try Priceline name your own price- stick to back bay/Quincy market area and 3-4 stars.  We've done this tons of times and gotten great deals.  The only reason I can think of for May that you won't get a good rate is college graduations. &nbsp

  • Also, there are a few that are just south of Boston (ramada South Bay, Hampton inn boston med, best western roundhouse inn) that are bad areas. They will have great rates but the location is not nice at all.  Aything near the airport is not so great

  • We use priceline exclusively for a weekend in boston.  I always request a 4 star and have never paid more than $100.00 per night.

We have stayed at  The Intercontinental, Omni Parker House,  The Langham to name a few.  Interco

  • When we went we stayed outside of Boston at the Hyatt Summerfield Suites in Waltham. We were not far from a tram/subway station and took that right into the city for the day. It was a really nice hotel and wasn't badly priced.

  • When we visited Boston last year, we used this website to find cheap things to do in the city. We especially enjoyed the museums and our tour of Fenway park. Enjoy!

  • We just got back from Boston this past weekend and we stayed in Braintree. It was a 15 min drive into the city. We drove into the city and parked by where our friends lived but the T also goes right into the city.
