Can I have some restaurant recs?

Hi! I was wondering if you guys could help me find a restaurant in the city that fits this criteria. My family (7 of us, including a 3 year old) are taking my sister out for her 30th birthday on Saturday afternoon. We'd like to go to a pretty nice place that is still kid friendly, either brunch or lunch is ok, and not too crazy with the food options since my parents are really boring and picky.

My sister lives on E Passyunk so that's where we'll be heading out from. I know this is a tall order. I live in the burbs. I have no idea where to start and she won't help me!

Thanks!

  • My family is full of picky eaters, and we've done a couple of gatherings with that size of a group at Spasso Italian Grill  in the Olde City area. Everyone has enjoyed the food and it's definitely k

  • I just wanted to chime in, and second Jones.  I think it would be perfect for what you are looking for.  It's fun and trendy, and theire focus is fun twists on comfort food.

  • Sophia's on E. Passyunk recently started serving brunch, and while I haven't been there yet, I've heard it's amazing!

Another suggestion is The Village Belle in Queen Village is a great place for brunch. It's very nice, but not over the top, and

  • I was going to suggest Stogie Joe's too, although it seems like you may be looking for something a bit nicer. Ditto Sophia's, although I can't vouch for their family-friendliness. You could also try Hawthorne's on 11th street. I suppose you'll want a res

  • Oooh, actually, you should go to Supper on South Street. The food is delicious but it's definitely nicer than some other places and they are super accommodating. You're welcome :)
