Sorry to the non moms on the board...
Did anyone here nurse into toddlerhood? What did that look like for you? How often? How much did your kid drink from a sippy or cup since she or he was also getting fluids from you? Did you find that extended BFing affected their intake of food? Anything else you want to share? I don't have any friends who nursed past a year IRL, except for one, but she limited it to bedtime only at a year. G still nurses four times a day when I'm home, 3 when I work.
Re: Breastfeeding
It was different with each of my kids. From about 15 months on, V nursed when he woke up and before he fell asleep. Nursing didn't really replace food or drink at that point. M, nursed sort of sporadically and G asks to nurse about 8 times a day still.
B slowly weaned somewhere between 18 and 19 months but I was PG and I think that is why. It was very gradual, just when I thought she was totally done she would ask again.
