house warming

What are your ideas for having a great house warming? Who to invite? Theme or no theme? Appetizers or meal? Music? I need some ideas! The party will be in July in Indianapolis.

  • I don't have friends who do theme parties.

    My take- good music, good food and good drinks makes for a fun party.  I think heavy apps is fine.   A meal would limit how many people you invite, I'd think.

  • We had a combo housewarming/birthday party for DH and we had burgers and chicken wings on the grill, and some sides and apps. Not a full sit down dinner. We didn't have music. Everybody chatted and had a great time.
