Of course there's drama before we go to NC!

#1 - I get an explanation of benefits in the mail yesterday for Ryan.  I call and they said it was for an ER visit.  Ummmm we didn't know Ryan went to the ER last month.  Jeff confirmed it with XW.  He went to the ER for... pink eye.  REALLY?!  Oh and it's for a Monday.  I guess we knew he had pink eye, but not she took him to the ER for it.

So I call and see why it's $340!  Well I guess our insurance changed from last year.  We have to meet our $350 individual, or $700 family deductible THEN it's 15% co-ins. Oh and she just took Lilly to the ER last week, for ear infection. So she's looking at $680 total.

H called her and was like GO TO THE PEDIATRICIAN! She said they were closed, on a Monday and Thursday?!  He said go to urgent care. She said there are none.  So I google it. There's one IN HER TOWN. She said it's for low income... so I found another one 30 mins away.  I mean $40 is WAY cheaper than $340.  And a ped appt is even cheaper at $20

I called and made sure the bill was going to her house since she said she'll take care of it.  Waiting for her to say we have to help with it.

#2 This one has been slowly building.  XW said H has to go with her to get Ryan's hair cut.  I know this is a big ordeal, since he has autism and FREAKS OUT. H used to buzz it everytime we go down, because XW didn't want to deal with it.  Finally she said she found a lady that has a child with autism and he does great.  So not quite sure why she needs help now.

I'm like that's fine, Lilly and I will play in the waiting room while you go back.  Oh no, XW said she doesn't want me in the salon/barber, and I can stay in the car.  UM EXCUSE ME, I'm not a dog you leave in the car!  We aren't starting this, where she says where I can and cannot go.  She tried this when we visited Ryan's school... because we weren't married yet.  Well guess what?!  We are now!  Even if we weren't I'm allowed in a barber shop.

So then she said we can cut it.  I've been looking up online on how to handle this without holding him down and buzzing it.  I have ear plugs (since I think it's mostly from the noise) and plan to use scissors since it's so long... then do a quick run with clippers.

Wish me luck!  I want to do it Friday since it's a school day and he'll have his medicine (he doesn't take it on weekends).

  • Girl! I would be a pissed off wreck! I feel the same way you do. This woman is a nightmare.

Why is Ryan not medicated on the weekends? If it helps him and keeps him calm, why not keep with it over the weekend?

  • First off, what person in their sane mind would choose to go to the ER when they could go to their pedi or an urgent care center?

Second, leave you in the car?! WHAT?! That broad is BSC.

    Good luck this weekend!

I find it hard to believe that the pedi is not open TWO  weekdays. My pedi is open 7 days a week.

  • I should probably add with TRIcare, there's no copays.  I think that's why she keeps going to the ER, that's where she usually goes for whatever reason.
