Do you have "a calling" for your job?
I wondered how many people really have a "calling" for their job. Should you? Are there certain professions where you should have a "calling?"
now i know how Nancy Kerrigan felt. that's insight into SCARY ISLAND. you have no clue what really went down.

My career began in a high-intensity, high-stress advertising environment. I got burnt out and moved to banking. Now, I'm a SAHM.
I don't think either advertising or banking were callings for me.

I wouldn't say I have a calling for my current profession. In fact, if you had told me that I would be doing what I am doing I would have laughed. I echo ML's business degree by default just seemed like the thing to do.

I love coaching (most of the time) and I think I'll be doing it for a very long time, but only part-time. I don't want to make it a full-time career. We'll see how I feel about academia once I'm done my master's thesis...
