ok Time to talk Baby Names!- Opinions??

We DID NOT find out what we are having.

We have struggled a bit on the name front- like gave up and didn't even think about it for a while, But ultimatly this kid needs a name!! 3 1/2 months to go!!

We think if it is a Boy we like

          Ian Andrew O'

we also like Luke, but I can't get past the StarWars thing. Especially since Adam likes StarWars and last time I saw my Father in Law he said to me " So if it;s a boy the babys name is going to be Luke Skywalker I hear."  Tongue Tied

The Middle name would be Andrew either Way. That is my Grandfather that pasted away this year, and was actually my DH's suggestion.

 Girls names so far are

Kate Grace --- made the list by default becuse that is what DS would have been

Elaina....Jane, possibly

Avery

Adelynn

I think I am leaning Adelynn, DH wants to spell it Adelyn if we use it..

Middle name??

  • Adelyn Grace?

    Adelyn Mae?

    Adelyn Elaine?

DH and I picked names quickly. Lillian is Lillian Ruth.  Ruth is a family name.  Do you have any grandmother or great aunt names you can use?

  • Just want to say that I LOVE both Ian and Kate!
  • My brother and I are both CJH... I always thought it was cool. :)

I like Kate, but with Grace, I think you need more than one syllable in one of those names.

Adelyn Grace is very, very pretty! And I like Ian Andrew with your last name, thou

    My three sons!

  • Ian was on our short list and it goes well with Andrew.  :)

    Also: Owen, Calvin, Eamon

    Adelynn (with 2 n's!) Jane

    Adelynn Grace

    Adelynn Joy

    Also: Hannah, Nora, Lucy, Harper

  • I agree with Clare on Kate Grace.  Both names are pretty, but since both are so short, I don't think they flow that well together.  Both names sound well with the other girl names you are considering!

I like both Ian and Luke!

  • How about Katherine Grace. IMHO, Kate is a nickname. My sister is a Kait, but her name is actually Kaitlin.

    I love Luke and Ian.

  • I wanted to go with Luke, but a very close family friend named her little one that right before Logan was born. Obviously I love it. :) I like Ian a lot too.

I agree with the girls that Katherine Grace would be really nice and you can call her

  • Kathleen was our girl name - the plan being her Baptized name, but Katie is what we would call her.

Then God laughed and gave me 3 boys...

  • I agree with the others that Kate Grace doesn't feel right when I say it aloud.  Although I do like Kate as a first name.  (If you're always going to call her Kate, why not just name her that instead of the longer version).   I like both Ia
  • I love the name Ian.  It doesn't go too well with our last name or it would have been a real contender for our son.

I am not a fan of the name Adelyn (sorry) but I like Avery a lot and I think Sylvia is a great name for a first or mid

  • I like Adelyn or Adelynn, but my concern is that she would be one of 20 Addie's.  (If that's not a big deal to you, cool.)  I also like Avery.

What about the middle name Ann from your mom's name.  Avery Ann?  Adelyn Ann?

  • They are all nice, so you can't go wrong!

I don't think Luke is inherently Star Wars. It's a pretty common name. There are two Lukes just in my small neighborhood, and I've never thought their parents were SW fans. I'd probably go with Ian thoug

  • My twin sister and I also share the same initials, and it was never bothersome. I'm more about significance in middle names than flow b/c I rarely ever use my kids' middle names.
  • I have a baby Kate so I am very partial. She does have a 3 syllable middle name, I agree that you need more than one syllable.   She is Kate by birth.
  • I really like Ian!

I think Adelynn Mae (may) is really pretty or Adelynn Marie (if you want to try to incorporate Maryann).

I like Katherine Grace (Kate for short). I think I'd stay away from 2 - one syl

  • My niece is Avery Grace.  :)
