Side dishes?

I suck a knowing what side dishes go with what as it is...I'm planning on possibly making philly steak & cheese stuffed bell peppers for my husband for his birthday on Wednesday..but I have no idea what could go with those. Suggestions?

Re: Side dishes?

  • Maybe a nice orzo pasta salad of some sort?  I stink at choosing side dishes too  but that's what first came to mind for me.

  • Some kind of salad usually goes with anything!  For the peppers, I think a pasta salad sounds nice too.

I think veggies usually go with anything...starches are a little trickier.

  • Tomato-Pecan salad goes well with beef dishes:  Red tomatoes, yellow tomatoes, scallions (finely diced), toasted pecans and balsamic vinaigrette

Roast his favorite vegetable.  My husband likes roasted broccoli topped with toasted sesame

  • I'd do roasted veggies, or sweet potato fries, or rice.
