My DH I bought a house last December. It was a foreclosure, and was decorated in a badly DIY southwestern theme (yellow faux-distressed wall complete with stenciled cacti, burgandy accent walls, teal cabinents and baseboards, terra cotta tile! Oh my!) I have been working everyday to cover up and fix the ugly! It wouldn't have been too bad if the previous owners knew what they were doing. A lot of what I've been doing is fixing the poor fixes! I'm here to get inspiration as we turn this house into our home.
Re: Intro: new to the nest
welcome! if you have specific questions for us, that's probably the best.
For inspiration, i usually turn to google images, pinterest, and houzz.com. If you find something cool that you want help planning - we'll be right here!
for what it's worth - i had to get rid of some really gross yellow-orangey paint (AND trim!) in our house. A good primer is definitely the way to go there!
