Moving to Frederick

My new husband and I are moving to Frederick, MD where his new Army station will be.  We have never been to the area but are excited!  Can anyone who lives there recommend an apartment community or town home community that you love?

DH is from Frederick and we moved here last year.  I love it!  We live in the Ballenger Creek area. 

Suggestions for communities would depend on a few things.  Do you want to stay close to Ft. Detrick? If not,

I live in Northern Carroll County, about 20 minutes away from Frederick. I don't have any recs, but we are there often to grocery shop and go downtown. Good luck with the move!
