To anyone who uses the Rite Aid on Academy and Byberry in Philly be warned... one of the employees is giving wrong dosing instructions! They told me to give FAR less to my son than what the doctor ordered and when I posted this on FB a friend went to check her son's prescription and they did the same thing to her (we think it was the same person... it was the same day). We've both reported it to the store and I wrote to corporate but the bigger issue is that this could be life or death for someone else... ours was an antibiotic so my son is just a little bit behind but if it was something more important it could be dangerous! Just as scary is the fact that the manager told me that that girl should not be giving out ANY information on medications. I think she might be a regular store clerk that was just working the pharmacy counter!!!!
If you use this pharmacy be extra careful!
ETA- I am beating myself up for the fact that I took what she said at face value. DH picked up the medicine and the lady converted it from tspn to mls and I'm horrible with that. I now know that I need to check everything and take responsibility for not doing that but still... it's their job!
To those that had to read this on here and FB I'm sorry... I just think it's important to get out there!!
Re: PSA- Rite Aid
That is super important! Thank goodness it was just an antibiotic (not meant to sound that I am down playing the importance). I take medicine by injections to keep me alive, and almost died last year because I was shown an improper tec
Thanks Jewels!
The first thing I said to my husband is that she is going to be fired... or at least if I was their attorney I'd tell them to. We were both just antibiotics... the next person could die and that is one hell of a lawsu
