Food Ideas for a Trivia Night?
We are doing a trivia night tomorrow with some friends and we are all bringing food to share. I was originally going to bring buffalo chicken dip but am nervous that there won't be anywhere to plug in my food there. Does anyone have any ideas for anything else good that I could bring?
TIA!

Re: Food Ideas for a Trivia Night?
If you still want to do a dip, here are a couple of good cold recipes. To keep it cold, I get a bowl a little bigger than the one the dip is in, put ice in the bigger one, then nest the smaller one on top of the ice. Hope you find one you like!
Bean Dip
1 can black beans, rinsed and drained
2 cans Rotel with cilantro & lime
1 can white corn, drained
1/2 chopped onion
1/2 chopped bell pepper (I omit)
2 T. olive oil
salt to taste
Combine and refrig. at least a few hours. Serve w/ tortilla chips.
Beer Dip
2-8 oz. pkgs cream cheese
1 envelope ranch dressing mix
1/2 c. beer
2 c. shredded cheddar
Beat cream cheese and dressing til smooth. Stir in beer, then cheddar. Refrig. for a couple of hours. Serve w/ pretzels
BLT Dip
1 c. mayo (not Miracle Whip)
1 c. sour cream
1/2 block cream cheese
1 lb bacon, fried and crumbled
2 roma tomatoes, peeled, seeded & diced)
green onions
shredded cheese
Beat first 3 ingredients til smooth. Stir in remaining ingredients and refrig. Serve with Ritz Air Crisps or club crackers.
Bonnie Dip (named for a co-worker--I think's it's modified Nieman Marcus Dip)
4 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 c. shredded cheese, any flavor (I like Mont. Jack)
1 t. green onions, chopped
1/2 c. mayo (not Miracle Whip)
salt to taste
Mix together. Serve with club crackers.
This is a new appetizer that I LOVE!!! And I myself am making it for a trivia night tomorrow!
Take dried pitted dates (you find them by the raisins in the grocery store). Slice them open. Take a block of parmesan cheese and cut pieces about a match stick size (1/4" x 1/4" x 1") and stuff the cheese inside the date. Take a slice of bacon and cut it into thirds. Take one of the thirds and wrap it around the stuffed date. Secure with a toothpick. Put them in the over for about 20 minutes at about 375. Basically cook until the bacon is done. You can then wrap them in foil and take them with you. they stay pretty warm, but they are really good even if cold.
SO GOOD!!! OMG! Even my husband loves them.
