how long to let paint cure?
We recently installed built in bookcases and just finished painting them yesterday. How long should we let the paint cure before putting books on the shelves? We used a white Behr flat enamel paint, if that makes a difference. Thanks!

I paint all the time and I love Behr paints!
I'd recommend waiting at least 7 days. It's probably an over-estimate, but things I've recently painted with a specialty paint state it can take 7 days for a table top to "cure" fully, where it won't stick to the item placed on it, etc. Since book shelves are like table tops, there are things placed on top of it, I'd rather be on the safe side.
