So, we have a window in our 1st floor Laundry Room which provides a nice amount of light during the day. The previous owners had mini blinds + a valance on it, but both just had to go when we re-painted (not to mention the valance was hideous). At this point, the window has nothing on it which makes the light a bit harsher and makes it feel a bit too open.
I was thinking maybe some white sheers with a nice valance (the walls are turquoise with faux cherry IKEA cabinets) but I'm having a heck of a time trying to find window treatments that fit. The window is approx. 22" W x 37" L which is apparently an odd window size - it's part of a door that is never opened.
Any and all suggestions are appreciated )
Thanks!
Re: Laundry Room Window Treatments
Try JC Penny's. Their prices are reasonable, and they have some custom size options.
As a side note, your color sceme sounds like that of my bedroom. We went with white window treatments as our bedspread has a lot going on and the white stands out in nice contrast against the turquoise walls. However, I'd suggest going with something other than white for the laundry room. Not too many people will be in there, so use it as a chance to have some fun with it and hang something a little funkier than you would normally go with. Personally, I love turquise paired with red or coral.
I like turquise paired with black and white. Search on Houzz.com for laundry room and you will find tons of pictures of LR with windows and what kind of treatments they have. If you are slighlty crafty, making window treatments is really easy. I recommend you skip the valance and separate blind/curtain and do something like this:
