Deck builder, landscaper needed!

Hello ladies!

First post here (I believe), so I'm not sure how active this board is, but I'm hoping someone can help!  We are looking for a recommendation on a deck builder and a landscaper.  We have an existing three season patio and a small deck off the second story, but no stairs going down to the yard.  We want to add stairs and also turn the paver patio off the walk-out basement into a deck.  Our yard is on a decent hill, so its not super straightforward - DH actually admits he probably can't do this himself, which is pretty unusual :)  Additionally, we'd like to level out the backyard a bit and potentially put in a retaining wall.  See the photo linked here - http://krajacicnest.weebly.com/back.html.  Its definitely going to be a big project that we would like to be as cost-efficient as possible!  Anyone have someone they have worked with who might be a good fit for this project!?

Thanks!

Jenn

Re: Deck builder, landscaper needed!

  • Hey Jenn,

I'm not sure if you can find a landscaper that is also a good deck builder. But Green Stuff Lawn is the company I used when I needed a good landscaper in the Minneapolis area. Hope this helps and good luck!

  • If you haven't found someone yet, there is a great company that we used for our roof estimate this year. They are a free contractor referral service, kind of like an Angie's List, but it's free for the customer to use the service. They provide you up to 4 referrals from contractors in their network that they have checked and screened for license, insurance, etc. www.hometeamremodelers.com is the website. Good luck!

  • If you're still looking for help with your deck, or anything else I suppose - I'd recommend Day Construction. Great service, and very fair pricing! :) Best of luck!
