Re: White House Corresp Dinner?
I did not watch it or follow it. I do know that Rush must really get under his skin to be mentioned in the first line.
I had heard complaints before the dinner, like about Lindsay Lohan. I really don't get the whole thing. I didn't even know when it was until I saw Conan on the television.
It used to be a tighter audience/crowd (ie strictly media and white house press people) but now it's stretched out to include some hollywood types...and I'm not sure how or why certain people get invited and others don't. Some of them make sense (ex. Eva Longoria is an official White House ambassador on immigration issues) but others don't make sense -- (ex. Lindsey Lohan).
I read it's because the media outlets invite them so they (the news outlet or whatever) gets attention.
