For the past few years, I have witnessed some aggressive behavior between my 2 cats, but I honestly cannot tell if it is play or fighting.
Cat 1 is the aggressor. He is a big mush face with humans, but merely tolerates cat 2. #2 will come up to #1 to sniff/lick, but after a minute #1 will snap. About once a week #1 will stalk and pounce on #2 until #2 is screaming and runs away. Luckily, there has been no injuries when this happens
A friend of mine witnessed this ?attack? once and thinks that #1 is just a rough player. Im not sold. While they are able to share a space and lay/eat together, I do worry about these incidents.
Anyone else go through this, or have any insight? Obviously, even rough play can result in an injury, but is this something I need to be extremely concerned about? Fighting, or playing??
