will zappos ditch me as a customer?
How much will zappos put up with??
Over the last couple weeks I have ordered and returned over $1500 worth of shoes. I kept one pair that was about $80. I was looking for three pairs of shoes and was prepared to spend $600 total.
Even the $300 Cole haan didn't work out. Then on my third trip to Nordstrom rack I found a perfect pair of black pumps on sale for $50!
Zappos offers free shipping both ways and I'm a VIP customer. What are the chances they'll ditch me?
I did take the $250 I saved on my black pumps and ordered a Kate spade diaper bag that was on sale for $230...which I plan to keep.

absolutely not.
i just ran into a similar scenario with jcrew. i needed to order 3 different dresses to try but they were having a sale so i wanted to get the promo price - didn't know what size to order. the guy from jcrew told me to order the 3 dresses in the 3 sizes (so 9 dresses, $235 each) and then return all but the 1 i wanted to keep.
so, jcrew actually advised that i spend $2K and return $1800 worth of it. they rather have you buy and return than not buy. most people would probably end up keeping more than originally planned so they usually make $ on these transactions. this one they didn't make much but trust me, they don't care!
