What to do with LOTS of leftover shredded cheese?
I bought a lot of shredded cheddar cheese (in bulk) and now I don't know what to do with the leftovers (it's a lot). I've been putting it on salads, pizzas, etc but any ideas on how to use up the remainder of it before it goes bad? Thanks!
Re: What to do with LOTS of leftover shredded cheese?
You can always freeze it, as suggested above.
I always use a ton of cheese in my baked mac and cheese recipes.
Mini Mac and Cheese Bites
Twisted Mac and Cheese
The Best Homemade Mac n Cheese
Buffalo Chicken Macaroni and Cheese
This soup uses 2 cups:
Crock-pot Loaded Baked Potato Soup
This uses 3 cups:
Crispy Cheddar Chicken
This uses 8 oz.
Loaded Baked Potato Dip
I hope this helps you use some of it and switches it up a little bit!
Definitely freeze it!
If you don't want to freeze it, maybe use it for mac and cheese or a casserole? Or enchiladas or quesadillas or something for cinco de mayo!
my read shelf:
I use frozen cheese on pizza and nachos all the time...melts just as well!
Or you could always make some whole meals with cheese and get those into the freezer for an easy meal some day: lasagna, quiche, mac and cheese, etc
