Meal Replacement Shakes

Anyone have a good one they recommend to help with weight loss?

Re: Meal Replacement Shakes

  • I just heard about these shakes called Almased from a girl at work who's been losing weight. They are a little expensive, but have good reviews online (I looked around). I just ordered it yesterday, so I can't say much about them yet.

I've also tried the Jillian Michaels shakes but the Vanilla tasted gross and didn't make me very full.

  • I absolutely have a great one for you to look at. I could talk for hours about it but I'll give you the "short" version.  Shakeology by Beachbody (same company behind P90X and Insanity) is a meal replacement shake that can help you lose weight, lower cholesterol, sleep better, reduce junk food cravings, increase energy --- all while feeding your body 70+ vitamins, minerals, nutrients, and superfoods. This one shake has been like a miracle for me, helping me to sleep through the night, get off my IBS meds, and lose 15 lbs in about 2 months. It replaces one meal per day, as well as your daily multivitamins and supplements. I have to say, it tastes pretty good too!

you can check out all sorts of information at www.myshakeology.com/luckydoodle and please do not hesitate to ask me any questions you may have!

What's wrong with good old fashion eating healthy and exercise? Tracking your calories? Most of the times the amount of sugar and unnatural ingredients in those shakes do not provide you with enough nutrients and protein.

I agree. If you want to replace a meal with a shake/smoothie, just use real food. For breakfast I have a mango, kale, pineapple, avacado, almond milk and coconut water smoothie. Use frozen fruit and add some ice. No need for gimmicks and added crap!

Ive been making my own shakes with fresh fruit usually strawberries, blueberries and some raspberries and sometimes a banana.  I add some yogurt some milk and ice, and a scoop of protein powder.  Fills me up and I use that for a meal replacement about once a day.
