covering up bruises?

I'm constantly getting bruises on my knees. I'm getting engagement photos taken next weekend and want to wear shorts. Is there any way to cover up or get rid of bruises quicker?

Re: covering up bruises?

  • I'd be worried about WHY you're constantly bruising.  Get that checked out, ASAP.

The photog can photoshop the bruises out.  I think any type of make up that would cover bruises would be very obvious on camera, possibly making your photos look strange.

  • lol it's because I'm always knocking my knees up against our coffee table or my desk at school. I bruise easily, like my mom. Just the other day I had to be on my knees at school (plumbing school, in a crawl space in the mock-up room, drilling screws into the wood above) and came away with bruises on both knees. Not huge or anything, just 2 little ones.

    Thanks for the advice.

I had a giant bruise on my knee too...I used a liquid cover up and applied it with a sponge.  Then I brushed a powder on top.  I'd suggest telling your photographer you covered a bruise so they can be on the look out for any discolouring  when they edit your pix.

  • ask the photographer to photoshop them out
  • I have never used it myself, but I have seen in the cosmetics sections at most stores (Target, etc.) a Sally Hansen brand spray on make up for legs.  It might be worth a trial run.  And, agree with PPs - ask photographer to try and PS as well.

Sally Hansen's spray makeup for legs is AWESOME! It does not rub off or get on clothes and does not look like you have makeup on your legs (unless you look super close). I have a can of it and it lasts forever too. It will come off in the shower with soap and water though, but just remember that you put it on the day/night before or you will wonder why your legs are melting. Don't laugh, I forgot and was like "oh my!" in the shower the morning after a wedding.
