Daycare Moms - Help with Labeling

DS is starting daycare soon, and I know I need to label bottles, but what is the best way to do that? What about labeling the pacifer?

I just used a good ol black sharpie!
  • We bought labels from etsy for labeling her bottles and that worked well for the most part. I know there are sites with labels for pacifiers as well. As she got older and we switched to sippy's - I bought Orbit Labels (little rubber bands with her name engraved on them) from InchBug: http://www.inchbug.com/. I love, love, love these and they're in fantastic shape even a year later.
  • I bought labels from etsy as well (I can't remember the seller); I used a sharpie for Jake, but enjoyed the upgrade to labels for Liam so I didn't have to worry about rewriting his name as it wore off. Liam is 2 and just a few of his labels are just now starting to fade after tons of trips through the dishwasher.

  • We used Name Bubbles.  They are dishwasher and laundry safe.  (We've had some of these labels on cups/clothes for 4 years now, and they are still going strong.)  They have promo codes every once in a while (20% off, free shipping) and have deals through Facebook as well.  www.namebubbles.com
  • I used Mabel's labels and they lasted forever. I just looked at some packed away bottled that still had labels on. I thought I could peel off a label and use it for something else and that thing was on there for good!!

After the infant room I stopped labeling things. Obviously no bottles anymore so didn't have to worry about that but stopped labeling clothes, etc. or just used a sharpie on a tag if it was something important.

  • when DD was little, for the bottles, I used the name bubbles labels on the lids (http://www.namebubbles.com and inch bug bands around them (http://www.inchbug.com).

Name bubbles labels are still stuck and not peeling (DD is 4 and we used them on food containers as well).

For DS we did the same, but for ease I got the sticky labels from inch bug and they dont' have the same staying power.  They started peeling after a few months.

Ninth Anniversary 2500 Comments 5 Love Its Combo Breaker

We originally bought our first set of labels from a local lady that I found through Veronica's graphic design business. I don't think she's in business anymore though because when I went to buy more - the website didn't work.

I bought some on Etsy, but they started wearing off pretty quickly.

My third buy was from this company, and they've held up really well. http://www.cherryhilldesigns.com/waterproof-labels_c_1.html. They have ones for pacifiers, bottles/sippy cups, clothing, etc.

  • We got some customizable iron-on labels at Label Land that I use for of lil' Eddie's stuff when he goes off to daycare. They have gone through many washes and are still holding strong. I would certainly recommend these! http://label-land.com/iron-on-labels
