Help Please!

Ok I have posted a few times here around last year but I could really use your help.

We came back to the US in Aug of 2011, we brought our adoptive pup back with us from Korea.  She went from not knowing what grass was until she got to run free in our big back yard.   Flash forward a little to Aug 2012 and went to the vet because she started limping, she was in beginning stages of hip dysplasia and started a chewy supplement/pain med.  Flash forward to yesterday and she started snapping at me and yelping. I know she is not doing it to be mean but because she is in pain. She hasn't eaten in two days but is drinking water.  I did manage to get her to eat a hot dog yesterday because she let me look at her paws and clip nails.

She does have a vet appointment tomorrow and they are going to see what all is going on with her.  We do not have a lot of money right now because we were just hit with a BIG bill that about wiped us out.

Is there anything I can do for her in the meantime?  She is in my bedroom on her bed so I covered her with a blanket and checking on her?

Re: Help Please!

  • I'm sorry your pup is in pain. :( It's so hard to see our furry little ones hurting and not be able to help.

I'm glad she'll be seeing the vet tomorrow. I hope they can give you some help.

Is the "chewy supplement" a joint support? She should definitely be getting anything to help her joints.

Also, look into Care Credit. It's for medical expenses, and that includes needing to pay vet bills. I believe there is a minimum amount you have to charge in order to get their 0% APR (for 6 or 12 months, I think this depends), but it can be a lifesaver for those unexpected expenses.

GL tomorrow! I hope she's able to rest relatively comfortably today.
